Mercury in Chitra Nakshatra

Mercury - Mercury represents communication skills, marketing, calculative ability, younger siblings, hobbies, skills with hands, intelligence, quick decision making, logical thinking, youthfulness etc.

Virgo - As Chitra is a part of Virgo, Virgo sign and its representations also become important. Virgo is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical nature of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of next set of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

 

Libra - As Chitra is also a part of Libra, Libra sign and its representations also become important. Libra is the 7th sign of Zodiac Belt, hence it represents the energy and things related with 7th house of horoscope, i.e. Market Place, Business, Partnerships, Relations etc. Libra is sign of Balance, i.e. striking the Balance between 2 parties/ideologies or even at personal level between our own dilemmas. It is sign of Peace and Diplomacy. And this is what we are seriously looking for after the conflicts and disagreements of Virgo, i.e. Peace to prevail. At personal level, Libra is seen as sign of Relationships. Libra is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatra named Chitra, Swati and Vishakha. Libra's lord is Venus only.

Houses Involved – Also, we can’t afford to forget the houses involved as a planet can be ruling different houses and sitting in different house for every person as per ascendant and planet’s position. To know overall affect, we have to consider the houses involved as those areas of life are being impacted.

 

Interpretation of Mercury in Chitra Nakshatra – Mercury is exalted in Virgo and in friendly sign in Libra. At the same time, Mercury is in Mars ruled nakshatra which is enemy to Mercury. It shows that Mercury is in average dignity here. As Mercury and Chitra both are skillful, it shows someone who is very creative and skilled person. It is more so in Libra section because it is ruled by Venus which represents creativity. In Libra section, the person can even turn skills into business. As Chitra is nakshatra of ego or relationship conflicts, Mercury in Chitra can easily make a Lawyer or relationship counselor. In Virgo section, person can be more inclined towards fighting the issue whereas in Libra section, person can be more inclined towards resolving the issue amicably as it is a sign of diplomacy. They can also be very good business people. If Mercury is relationship oriented planet then ego clashes and relationship conflicts can be very apparent results. Overall, this position shows a creative person, a counsellor and a business person.

 

Role of Mars - Mars placement is important to guide Mercury in right direction, being Virgo's lord.

 

Role of Mercury - As we are trying to interpret Mercury only, we need not to look at Mercury position and dignity separately.

 

Role of Venus - Likewise, Venus placement is important to guide Mercury in right direction, being Libra lord.

 

Other Factors – And of course, we need to consider conjunction, aspects, house lordship, house position and dashas etc to know the exact results of Mercuury in Chitra. So, we always need to take a holistic view of chart rather than just 1 planetary position.
