Meaning of Mercury's aspect through Houses for Aquarius Ascendant

Let’s take a look at those things which matter here – 

Mercury - It represents communication skills, marketing, calculative ability, younger siblings, hobbies, skills with hands, intelligence, quick decision making, logical thinking, youthfulness etc.

For Aquarius Ascendant people, Mercury rules the 5th house & 8th house of chart with its sign Gemini & Virgo. So, let’s look at 5th house, 8th house, Gemini and Virgo too. 

5th house - It represents Creativity, Romance, Happiness, Hobbies, Children, Innovation, Sports, Movies, Stock Trading, Gambling and Betting, Risk Taking Ability, Education, Ancient Texts etc.

8th house - It is house of secrecy, occult knowledge, longevity, transformation, death and re-birth, In laws family, joint wealth with spouse etc.

Gemini - It is the 3rd sign of zodiac belt, so it represents many things related with 3rd house of horoscope like, Communication Skills (either written, oral or even by sign language), Marketing, Business etc. It is a sign basically related with communications and business ideas. Gemini is divided into 2 and half nakshatra of Mrigashira, Ardra and Punarvasu. Gemini's lord is Mercury, which is significator of Communications. 

Virgo - It is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical skills of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

What will Mercury do in Aspect? – Now, Mercury can be sitting in any house of chart for a Aquarius Ascendant person.1st of all, Mercury will take the energy of house of chart, it rules with Gemini & Virgo sign, and take it to the house where it sits. Then from the house it sits, it will throw its aspect on the 7th house from its place. Now, as Mercury basically represents Communication, Collection of Information, Travelling, Teaching, Counselling and Advising, Mercury will make person communicate and counsel people related to the house it is aspecting about the houses it rules and also will make person collect information about the house it is aspecting. 

Things which I still can’t cover – Although, I am trying to make it a detailed analysis of planetary aspects but I still can’t cover few things like dignity of planet involved, like Mercury conjunct with other planets, if there are planets in 7th house from Mercury where it aspects in which case those planets will aspect back at Mercury and impact it, and planets aspecting Mercury from other houses. That’s why, no matter how detailed analysis you do in Astrology, there are still few things uncovered and that just shows the limits of Human Efforts. 

Now, let’s see the meaning and impact of Mercury's aspect through different houses for Aquarius Ascendant people. 

Mercury in 1st house – Mercury is in Aquarius here.They are very research oriented and their education & research is in the field of Technology. They can be in works related with Communications and Counselling. They can be working in such fields in large organizations. Its aspect on 7th house shows that they want to communicate to other people/spouse about secret and hidden stuff of 8th house. They may be in Business related to research and serving people. 

Mercury in 2nd house – Mercury is debilitated in Pisces here. This shows someone who earns his wealth through education and research. They might be serving people through their counseling/teaching. They can speak of such high ideals that rarely people understand. That's the only negative point with Mercury debilitated. Its aspect on 8th house suggests that they serve people through their education, counselling and detailed analysis. It strengthens their 8th house and hence good gains from serving other people. 

Mercury in 3rd house – Mercury will be in Aries here. This clearly shows a counselor or Teacher who teaches with his education and research. But they will be considered as strict teachers as their speech may be very direct or even rude/blunt at times. Its aspect on 9th house shows that they love to travel and learn more. They want to interact with people of different ethnicity. They are eager to learn more and more to improve their teaching/counseling. They can be in technical field too. 

Mercury in 4th house – Here Mercury is in Taurus. This shows someone who gets education and researches in the fields of Finance, Wealth and Assets. So, they can be working in Financial Sector. They can be Stockist, Bankers or Financial Analysts or Consultants. Its aspect on 10th house shows that they like to be in a communicative or counselling oriented career. They like to have a communicative work environment. This gives good communicative relation with parents. 

Mercury in 5th house – Mercury is in own sign Gemini here. They are highly communicative and born teachers. They have huge amount of information with them. Only thing is that they don't know how to stop talking. Their education can be in finance or accounts field or some research oriented subject. Its aspect on 11th house shows that they want to use their teaching and counselling skills to serve some higher cause or help others. Gain/Income is not the sole motive. They like to have large networking circle to communicate with. 

Mercury in 6th house – Mercury is in Cancer here. This shows a health counselor who emotionally take care of others. They can be very motherly and of serving nature. They can be counselling those people who are going through traumatic experiences in life. Its aspect on 12th house indicates towards their counselling work at hospitals. They can also be curious about Spirituality and love to travel Foreign Lands. 

Mercury in 7th house – Mercury is in Leo here. This shows a creative and skillful person. They can make their hobbies, interests and creativity as their business. They love to connect with others on the basis of interests. It also shows a love marriage as 5th house lord is in 7th house. Its aspect on 1st house shows that they understand themselves better once they are able to connect with others as such. It might give them a very communicative personality. 

Mercury in 8th house – Here, Mercury will be exalted. This person speaks perfectly and they are almost cunning with their communications. They can be in fields like Audit, Finance and Accountancy as 8th house relates to Tax. So, they can be serving people in matters related to Finance. At the same time, they can be very detailed oriented and perfectionist in their approach towards research and occult. Its aspect on 2nd house confirms their work with Finance and Wealth. Mercury in 11th house – Mercury is in Sagittarius here. This is a person of higher learning and philosophy. He can be seen as a Teacher/Professor/Preacher who is working in Big Institutions. They can be working as Teacher/Preacher in some large group of people related with Religion or Philosophy. Best example can be Iskcon or Theosophical Society of India. They like to utilize their higher education to serve some higher purposes. Its aspect on 5th house shows their inclination towards education and teaching. 

Mercury in 12th house – Mercury is in Capricorn here. As Capricorn is sign of Law & Govt, this shows someone who is in field of Law and Govt but he can be working in Foreign Lands. He can be working in Legal Teams of MNCs too. They love to travel foreign lands but chance may come with delay and lots of hard work. Its aspect on 6th house confirms that they want to communicate and counsel about disputes and litigation. That is part of their daily work routine.
