Rahu - It represents Illusion, Foreign Lands, Foreign Things (foreign as in unknown things. So, for someone living in Punjab, culture and rituals of Kerala is also unknown and hence Foreign), Drugs, Medicines, any type of intoxication, Fame, Wealth, Success, Obsession, Past-life incomplete Desires, Movies, Television, Online World, Cheating, Imagined Fears, Unusual Things, Unique Things, Creativity, Rule breaker. Rahu also blows things out of proportions.

Virgo - As Hasta is a part of Virgo, Virgo sign and its representations also become important. Virgo is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical nature of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of next set of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

Moon - As Moon rules Hasta, Moon's position and dignity is important to know about the overall functioning of any planet in Hasta/Virgo.

Interpretation of Rahu in Hasta Nakshatra – Rahu is in Mercury’s sign here and in enemy nakshatra of Moon. Common theme with Hasta, its lord Moon and Virgo is health-care. Rahu here can make someone obsessed about taking care of others or healing others or at least this is what they can show to others. As Rahu is related with alternate healing practices, these people can be interested in alternate health-care related matters like Ayurveda, Homeopathy etc. As Hasta literally means Hands, they can be Reiki Healers too. As Hasta also represents Hard Working people, Rahu there can make them very hard working and highly ambitious in matters of career. They can be perfectionist too. 

At the same time, Rahu in Hasta Nakshatra can make someone highly possessive or controlling in matters of relationship as Hasta is represented by Fist. This can again lead to conflicts and litigation. Overall, a difficult position for relationship matters.
