They are just obsessed to go beyond spirituality and know the real truth. So, it is not a person who is doing meditation when he gets some time during the day but it is a person whose only job in the day can be doing meditation. This position can also make person to serve others in spiritual or mystical field. They can easily be devoted to the spiritual path and can serve others. As they give most of their time in spiritual or mystical pursuits and actions, they can develop some mystical powers. They can have higher mystical experiences like out of body, kundalini/chakra activation and ultimate experience of liberation/enlightenment and then they can serve and guide others on the same path.  

Now, you can't have everything in life. If you are on spiritual path then your materialistic life can suffer or it can be the other way around too that person's materialistic life didn't give him any happiness or satisfaction, hence he moved towards spirituality. As Rahu is in harsh Saturn’s nakshatra which is represented by death-bed or Funeral Pyre, it shows not-so-good results in family life or in materialistic pursuits. Other representation of coiled-snake also doesn't bring much hope to the person's materialistic pursuits. Coiled-Snake representation again links this nakshatra with kundalini energy.  

Role of Saturn - Saturn's placement is important to guide Rahu in right direction, being Uttara Bhadrapada lord.
