Ketu – Ketu represents Isolation, Separation, Spirituality, Mystical World, Other Dimension means things related to Alien World. It also represents Son, Dog, Intuition, Research Ability, Curious Nature, things which we have already achieved in past life and not much concerned to perform in this life. 

 

Krittika - It is nakshatra of criticism, cutting things, surgeries and bloodshed. Also, it is nakshatra of child care, secrecy, research, protection and foster parenting etc. It spreads from Aries to Taurus. It is ruled by Sun. Aries – As Krittika is part of Aries, Aries sign and its representations become important here. Aries is the 1st sign of zodiac belt, so it represents the things and energy of 1st house of horoscope like Self, Personality etc. Besides that, Aries is the sign of our individuality, our aggression, our actions, our competitive ability etc. Aries is ruled by Mars and it is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatras named Ashwini, Bharani and Krittika.

 

Taurus - As Krittika is also a part of Taurus, Taurus sign and its representations become important here. Taurus is the 2nd sign of zodiac belt, so it represents many things related with 2nd house of horoscope like, Hoarded Wealth, Assets, Savings, Finances, Luxuries and Liquid Money. All in all a sign related with luxuries and all the conveniences of life. Taurus is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatras, i.e. Krittika, Rohini and Mrigshira. Taurus' lord is Venus.

Houses Involved – Also, we can’t afford to forget the houses involved as a planet can be ruling different houses and sitting in different house for every person as per ascendant and planet’s position. To know overall affect, we have to consider the houses involved as those areas of life are being impacted.

 

Interpretation of Ketu in Krittika Nakshatra – Now, Ketu is in Krittika Nakshatra which is ruled by Sun. Ketu is in sign of Aries ruled by Mars and in Venus ruled sign in Taurus section. As Krittika is nakshatra of nurturing and taking care of others without any selfish means, Ketu here can show a person who may have innate ability and past-life expertise at nourishing and taking care of people. They can be working in schools, child care homes etc. They can be a good critic or work in field of editing. As Ketu represents cutting and separation and Krittika is also nakshatra of cutting things, they can be scathing with their criticism. They can be very good at surgery and any activity of cutting things. As Krittika is also connected with martial arts and weaponry, they can be innately good at handling weapons. It may also make them violent or aggressive in life.

 

As Ketu itself represents separation, split, break-up etc, if Ketu is getting involved in relationship matters in a chart, it is never a good placement. Person will be feeling separated in relationship either physically or mentally or both ways. This will bring a tug-of-war kind of result where they may feel separated when they are in relationship but when they are single, they may desire relationship. As Krittika is nakshatra is ruled by Sun, Ego-conflicts can bring separation in relationship. Ketu in relationship matters in any chart is difficult.

 

Role of Mars – Mars's position will become important in functioning and results of Ketu in Krittika/Aries as Mars rules Aries.

 

Role of Venus – Venus’ placement is important to guide Ketu in right direction, being Taurus lord.  

 

Role of Sun - As Sun rules Krittika, its position is also important to finally decide about the results of Ketu in Krittika.

 

Other Factors – And of course, we need to consider conjunction, aspects, house lordship, house position and dashas etc to know the exact results of Ketu in Krittika in either of the signs. So, we always need to take a holistic view of chart rather than just 1 planetary position.
