Ketu – Ketu represents Isolation, Separation, Spirituality, Mystical World, Other Dimension means things related to Alien World. Virgo - As Hasta is a part of Virgo, Virgo sign and its representations also become important. Virgo is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical nature of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of next set of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

Interpretation of Ketu in Hasta Nakshatra – Ketu is in Mercury’s sign here and in enemy nakshatra of Moon. Common theme with Hasta, its lord Moon and Virgo is health-care. As Ketu represents past-life expertise, it shows that they have innate ability to heal someone. Most common profession for them is medical profession. As Ketu represents research, it also shows someone in medical or clinical research oriented career. As Ketu represents alternate ways of medication, Ketu in Hasta can show a healer in alternate medication too. As Hasta means Hands, it is ideal placement for a Reiki Healer. This portion of Virgo also represents very hard working people. Ketu here shows that they work really hard to make their career or wealth in life.

As Ketu itself represents separation, split, break-up etc, if Ketu is getting involved in relationship matters in a chart, it is never a good placement. Person will be feeling separated in relationship either physically or mentally or both ways.
