Planetary Relationship Synastry (PRS) - Mercury

So, in this post of Planetary Relationship Synastry (PRS), let’s see what happens if Mercury of a person in relationship gets super-imposed over planets of another person.

 

A person’s Mercury impact on another person’s different planets – It is like, Mercury of X person is falling over different planets of Y person. Like, X person has Mercury in Aries and Y person has different planets in Aries. Now, if these two persons are in any type of relation or friendship where they spend considerable time with each other then we need to see the kind of impact and end result this combination is going to create for them.

 

Other possibilities – Now, it can also be the case that X person has Mercury in one sign and Y person has conjunction of planets in that sign. In that case we have to look for and interpret the joint impact of conjunctions of planets involved from Y person to X person’s Mercury.

 

Impact like Conjunction – I think it is better to understand this super-imposition of planets from 1 chart to another like a conjunction. Assertive Vs Receptive – As Mercury is a gentle and neutral planet, it will be receptive towards every other planet except Moon & Venus. As Moon is most feeble planet, Mercury will be able to impact Moon only but it will be impacted by all other planets. Mercury & Venus are equal in strength and also best friends. So, they will be able to impact each other.

 

Nature & Dignity Involved – Another important thing is nature, dignity and mutual relation of the planets involved which are getting super-imposed to each other or to houses involved. House involved – I think the most important factor in this series will be houses involved as those things will be impacted by planets. Like, If X person has Mercury in Aries in 1st house and Y person has Moon in Aries sign in 10th house then X person’s Mercury is going to impact the Moon as well as the 10th house related matters. Here, we can also include the houses those planets rule in respective houses. Things or people related with those houses will also assert or receive the impact. Jeeva Karaka Vs Ajeeva Karaka – Last but not the least, I think the concept of Jeeva Karaka and Ajeeva Karaka - https://www.astrosaxena.com/jkak will be the most important here for right interpretation in this series. Especially, when malefic planets are involved and getting super-imposed against malefic planets/ benefic planets of other chart in a particular house then achieving the results of Jeeva Karakas would become tough but results of Ajeeva Karakas of same planets and houses involved can still be achieved.

 

Now, the impact of Mercury super-imposition over planets of another chart –

 

Sun – Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Sun of Y person then it is the X person who will feel the impact of Sun over Mercury and in that particular house of chart. Mercury is too gentle to impact Sun. It can have good/bad both impacts. After their association, Y can bring sharpness to the intellect of x and X can feel more confident. Y can have more business ideas. Y can make X more career oriented or ambitious. But this can easily be situation where X can become fiery or harsh with his speech after his association with Y. There can be ego conflicts with siblings or friends or neighbours. Ego clashes can also be related to things or people of houses which Mercury rules in Y’s chart. After their association, X can get recognition for his skills, interests and hobbies.

 

Moon - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Moon of Y person then it is the Y person who will feel the impact of Mercury over Moon and in that particular house of chart. This combination can make Y very communicative person and X can push Y person for travelling and learning new things. This combination can work well if both can communicate well, share information and if both have common interests. At the same time, both will feel frustrated in this relation sooner or later due to enmity of Moon and Mercury. Moon wants stability in life and Mercury is all about frequent movement. Hence, Y will feel that he has lost stability factor after meeting X. At the same time, Y can be more communicative after meeting X, especially at home or with mother. X can develop new interests and hobbies. X can become more emotional in intellect and decision making.

 

Mars – Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Mars of Y person then it is the X person who will feel the impact of Mars over Mercury and in that particular house of chart. Mercury is too gentle to impact Mars. As Mars and Mercury are great enemies, this can have more bad impact than good impact. After their association, Y can bring aggression in X’s speech and communication. They should be careful while travelling together. X’s relation with siblings and people related with houses ruled by Mercury can suffer due to aggression, dominance and afflicted speech. Even the association between X and Y may not be a great one due to same reasons. Only place where this association can be helpful is in business and hobbies/interests as X will provide impetus to Y to follow it.

 

Mercury - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Mercury of Y person then it is the like both people having 2 Mercury in their chart in 1 house. Both will assert Mercury’s nature over each other after they are together. They can get along really well as friends. They would love to connect and share information with each other. They can have similar interests and hobbies. They can even be business partners and behave like siblings. They would love to travel together and communication between two will be excellent.

 

Jupiter - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Jupiter of Y person then X will be impacted by Jupiter of Y and in that particular house of chart. This association will be knowledge oriented one. It is like of Teacher and Student. Jupiter is all about sharing of knowledge and Mercury is all about collecting the information. So, Y will play the role of Teacher and X will be in role of Student. Even if they are friends or in any relation, Y will always teach something new to X. In romantic relation, they will have a sense of frustration due to enmity of Jupiter-Mercury but otherwise, it can be a good association based on knowledge.

 

Venus - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Venus of Y person then both persons will feel the impact of Venus-Mercury combination and in that particular house of chart. Venus-Mercury combination brings creativity and financial prudence to both people. That means both persons can become more creative after their association and both persons will also be financially very calculative. This can also be a good romantic association to begin with. They can have similar creative interests and hobbies. They both can have good financial gains from creativity or finance related business. They can benefit each other on creative pursuits.

 

Saturn - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Saturn of Y person then it is the X person who will feel the impact of Saturn over Mercury and in that particular house of chart. Mercury is too gentle to impact Saturn in anyway. Y would bring lots of seriousness, strictness and discipline into Mercury related actions of X, i.e. learning, communication and business. Y would try to make X more practical and realistic but X may feel that Y is being too harsh or strict towards him. This combination can bring best results in business partnership where Y will push X for becoming practical business person but it can be a harsh combination for any friendship or relationship.

 

Rahu or Ketu - Now, if Mercury of X person is falling over Rahu or Ketu of Y person then it is the X person who will feel the impact of Rahu or Ketu over Mercury. In Rahu’s case, Y can provide help to X to pursue his creative interests or hobbies or may actually bring many new interests. X can be interested in learning foreign languages too. Y can also bring opportunity of foreign travel to X. In Ketu’s case, although Y can bring interest of research and investigation to X but Y can also take away the intellect and decision making skills of X by the illusion being spread. In worst case scenario, it can bring neurological diseases to X.
