Reasons behind Saturn's Debilitation

Let’ try to understand why Saturn gets debilitated in Aries sign and in Bharani Nakshatra. Let’s see what these energies represent –

Aries – As Ashwini is part of Aries, Aries sign and its representations become important here. Aries is the 1st sign of zodiac belt, so it represents the things and energy of 1st house of horoscope like Self, Personality etc. Besides that, Aries is the sign of our individuality, our aggression, our actions, our competitive ability etc. Aries is ruled by Mars and it is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatras named Ashwini, Bharani and Krittika.

Reasons behind debilitation of Saturn in Aries – Saturn is basically a Judge. He is given the role or responsibility of Lord of Justice among Gods. He is the one who decides who should get what and when? In professions too, Saturn is the main karaka of Career in the field of Law. Now, Aries is the sign of Self or Individuality. A Judge can be worst if he is thinking about his own selfish and individualistic gains from his work. His duty is to do justice to others and serve people but it can be the worst case scenario if that Judge starts serving himself and his own individual goals. Another reason can be that Saturn represents Serving Others and Aries is the sign of Self, where Saturn cannot even find others to serve. So again, Saturn gets no environment in Aries to serve other people and masses. Hence, Saturn is debilitated in Aries.

Reasons behind debilitation of Saturn in Bharani – Saturn gets deepest debilitation in Bharani Nakshatra in Aries sign. It is because Saturn represents stability, organised actions and consistency. But Bharani is nakshatra of instability, chaos and major ups/downs. Now, if someone is facing chaos and instability in his life on daily basis, we can’t expect him to show perseverance and put consistent/stable efforts in life to gain success. So, Saturn doesn’t get the required conducive environment to exhibit its energy in a dignified way. When Saturn is in Bharani, person’s efforts will be gone in taking control of instabilities in life.

Reasons behind debilitation of Saturn at 20 degree – Again, it is the same logic. Mid-portion of any sign has its most impact or intensity. As we know that Saturn is exalted at 20 degree of Libra as it is strongest there. Hence, it will be weakest or debilitated at 15 degree of Aries as it is exactly opposite to its strongest position.

Conclusion – As I see, these are the reasons why I feel Saturn is debilitated in Aries sign and Bharani Nakshatra at 20 degree.
