Transit of Ketu in Vishakha Nakshatra, Feb-2022.
Transit of Ketu in Vishakha Nakshatra, Feb-2022.
Writing this transit article was not in initial plan as I honestly had no idea how to interpret it but still I give it a try and let’s see what comes out of it.
Let’s look at important energies here -
Ketu – Ketu represents Isolation, Separation, Spirituality, Mystical World, Other Dimension means things related to Alien World. It also represents Son, Dog, Intuition, Research Ability, Curious Nature, things which we have already achieved in past life and not much concerned to perform in this life.
Vishakha - Vishakha is nakshatra of counselors and guides. It is also nakshatra of split or partition or different direction. For more information on Vishakha Nakshatra, please check this link - https://www.astrosaxena.com/vishnaksh.
Libra - As Vishakha is a part of Libra, Libra sign and its representations also become important. Libra is the 7th sign of Zodiac Belt, hence it represents the energy and things related with 7th house of horoscope, i.e. Market Place, Business, Partnerships, Relations etc. Libra is sign of Balance, i.e. striking the Balance between 2 parties/ideologies or even at personal level between our own dilemmas. It is sign of Peace and Diplomacy. And this is what we are seriously looking for after the conflicts and disagreements of Virgo, i.e. Peace to prevail. At personal level, Libra is seen as sign of Relationships. Libra is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatra named Chitra, Swati and Vishakha. Libra's lord is Venus only.
Scorpio - As Vishakha is a part of Scorpio too, Scorpio sign and its representations also become important. Scorpio is the 8th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents the things and energy related with 8th house of horoscope like Sudden Events, Secrecy, Dark World, Occult Science, Research, Inheritance, Serving Others, Taxes etc. Besides these things sign of Scorpio also represent transformation, means changing the whole nature upside down. This is one sign which is favorite of every Astrologer, because it has maximum secrets, so every astrologer gets maximum scope of researching. This is sign about which no one can tell with precision that what will happen to the planets in it, as it is sign of secrecy itself. Wherever Scorpio falls in your chart, you may have had biggest challenges in making things related with that house more stable. Scorpio is also one of those unique signs which has 2 rulers, i.e. Mars and Ketu. In Western Astrology, Pluto also co-rules Scorpio. All this makes Scorpio a chaotic sign. Scorpio consists of next set of 2 and half nakshatras, i.e. Vishakha, Anuradha and Jyeshtha.
True Node Vs Mean Node – There are mainly 2 ways of calculating the transits of Rahu and Ketu. They are known as True Nodes and Mean Nodes. As per True Nodes calculations, Ketu has moved into Vishakha Nakshatra on 14th Feb, 2022 but as per Mean Nodes Ketu has moved into Vishakha nakshatra on 8th Feb, 2022. Again, I am not going into debate of which one is more correct as the difference between the two is less than 1 degree. So, follow whichever fits your understanding. If you want more info on it, then please search with “True Node Vs Mean Node” or like terms. For me, Mean Nodes work better.
Now, here are my interpretations of Ketu in Vishakha Nakshatra (from Feb, 2022 to Oct, 2022) –
a. Let’s 1st look at the most generic interpretation of this transit and then we will understand why it is difficult for me to interpret this transit correctly? Again, it is my inability. Any other astrologer with better abilities will be able to decode this transit perfectly.
b. So, most common significance of Vishakha Nakshatra is Counselling and Counsellors. As it is ruled by Jupiter, it represents knowledge sharing. As Ketu represents our past-life expertise, Ketu’s transit in Vishakha can make many people realize their past-life expertise of being a counsellor. In Scorpio section, people can be mystical counsellors and in Libra section, people can be counsellors of peace, justice and relationship.
Now, why this transit looks so difficult to interpret?
c. Vishakha represents the split and its pictorial representation is also forked branches. It is a nakshatra which represents separate paths. Its deities are also Indra and Agni. Indra is God of Rains and Agni is God of Fire. So, it is nakshatra which clearly represents conflicting energies and contradictions.
d. And guess what Ketu represents? Ketu also represents split and separation along with past-life expertise.
e. That’s why, this transit can be so confusing as both energies are representing separation, split or division within two. Also, this transit started in mid-feb, 2022 and if we see at world events of last 15 days then we can see that we are very much in split, don’t know what to do/what not to do and it seems that all countries of world are splitting in two sides right now.
f. So during this transit, at personal level too, we can find ourselves under situations where we may have to choose between two conflicting options (Vishakha) and we may find it very confusing (Ketu) to make a choice.
g. The ideal example I can bring here is of Arjuna in battlefield who is confused about fighting the war or not? We may find ourselves in many such situations during this transit. It also means that people can’t remain neutral or non-aligned during this transit. People would have to take some decisions and choose the sides. Anyways, I feel that “Being Neutral” only means that someone has no guts to oppose the wrongdoer. Hence, he covers himself into neutrality. This transit is not about neutrality.
h. As Ketu is more an internal planet, this tug-of-war of to-do and not-to-do can be more inside all of us. Internally, a Mahabharata may be going on which we may not show outwardly.
i. Another help we can take in interpreting this transit is from Rahu going into Aries. As Aries is sign of individuality & action and Rahu is the energy where we gravitate towards, it is very clear that we will move towards Aries (individuality, action and assertion) and we can be separated (Ketu) from Peace and Justice (Libra/Vishakha).
j. Again, It depends on the evolution level of person if they want to pursue action at the cost of peace or justice but as Rahu moves into Krittika and then Bharani (nakshatra of death and re-birth which deity is Lord Yama) later in the year, we can say that we can be in lots of trouble if people are not evolved enough to deal with this energy.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
