Transit of Mars in Capricorn, 2024

So, Mars is all set for its next transit of 40 days in the sign of Capricorn. This transit will take place from 5th Feb, 2024 to 15th March, 2024. So, here are some results we can expect during this transit –

a. First of all, Mars is going to be exalted in Capricorn. This will make us action oriented but most importantly, actions can be directed in right direction and can bring fruits to us. People can find themselves very courageous, high on will-power and active. Exaltation only means that potential of taking righteous actions is high and we should utilize the opportunity.

b. The difference between exalted and debilitated Mars is only in the quality and dignity of actions. There is a better possibility or probability with a person with exalted Mars to take dignified or right actions but another person with debilitated Mars may not hesitate in taking wrong or illegal actions. Again, it is only case of probability, not certainty. There is no guaranty that every person with exalted planets will take all righteous actions and other person with debilitated planet will be all evil person. So, choice of actions is still in human hands and as per human consciousness.

c. Interesting thing here is Mars will be travelling in Saturn’s sign. So, Mars’s actions and efforts would get restriction or limitations or repetition factor of Saturn. Saturn-Mars energy exchange always makes us put our best efforts repetitively to get some good results. So, results or fruits of actions will be received, but after immense hard work and perseverance. At the same time, if person is not perseverant or patient then it can lead to lots of frustration and aggression too.

d. So, we can be very active in the things related to the house where Mars is transiting in chart. Like, for Scorpions like me, it is travelling in 3rd house. So, we can be putting best efforts in business, communication and travelling etc. But for Leo people, this transit is happening in 6th house. So, they can be putting best efforts in dealing with stress related with work life or health issues.

e. Another important thing here is that as 2 strong malefic (Sun-Mars) are coming together in Capricorn up to 15th Feb, we can’t expect many results in living significances of the house where Capricorn is falling in chart. Our efforts can bring better results in non-living significances. Like, for Cancer ascendant people, this transit is taking place in 7th house/Capricorn. So, in matters of business, they can be super-active but there can be lots of stress in matters of relationship and they need to practice lot of patience to deal with relationship matters. As both Sun-Mars are fiery and malefic by nature, we can expect same heat in the house wherever they are transiting in Capricorn as per ascendant, especially in relationship matters. As they remain fiery and malefic energy, immature people can still be inclined towards aggression or anger or violence and can bring stress and issues for themselves and others etc.

f. Another common theme around Mars-Sun in Capricorn is Govt and Law. So, we can see some important rules and regulations coming into force or we can even see people showing resentments towards Govt.

g. So, it can be a mixed-bag transit of Mars in Capricorn due to Sun’s presence in same sign and Saturn’s rulership where Mars can make us super-active but Saturn can bring stress, limit results and we can be required to practice lots of patience to go through transit.

Then there are a few joint impacts created by Mars’s transit in Capricorn which are as follows –

This transit of Mars in Capricorn also means that Saturn-Jupiter-Mars all are impacting Aries and Leo signs. So, we can see lots of actions or attention/focus in matters of the houses where Aries and Leo are falling in our chart. Throughout 2023, we have seen these two signs giving us results through joint impact of Rahu-Saturn-Jupiter. Now, similar results can come back through Saturn-Jupiter-Mars joint impact on these two signs.

It means that wherever Aries and Leo fall into our chart, we can be highly active in those two areas of life as per the houses involved due to Mars-Saturn impact and if we put best efforts and persevere then Jupiter can bring benefits.

Mars-Rahu will also aspect at Cancer sign; It will be Mars 7th aspect and Rahu’s 5th aspect on Cancer. This shows that people can have emotional extremes in behavior or may not find stability in emotions. Meditation, Yoga or other Spiritual Pursuits can help in maintaining this stability.  

Overall, this transit can be beneficial if we take righteous actions with perseverance and avoid base representations of Mars like anger, aggression and violence.
