Effect of Punarvasu Nakshatra as Ascendant Nakshatra – Punarvasu literally means Return of the Light or Return of the Hope. It comes after Ardra Nakshatra which represents Chaos. After Chaos, we can only try to restore some sanity in life. Hence, the next nakshatra is Punarvasu. It is the nakshatra of restoring the normalcy, rehabilitating activities and return of hope in life. So, people with Punarvasu as ascendant nakshatra can be very good at rehabilitating others. They can be good counsellors or healers or motivational speakers etc. Obviously, to develop such abilities, person should go through some chaos in his own life. Whereas, Jupiter in 8th house/Capricorn for Gemini ascendant chart, the person can go through similar relationship troubles and can serve people similarly, like in above example. But as Jupiter is in debilitation here, the ability or potential to utilize the wisdom for self and others’ rehabilitation can be delayed or it may require additional hard work.   

Final example, Jupiter in 4th house/Libra (for Cancer ascendant) would show that person’s life pattern can be about dealing with difficulties and frustrations in home and mother related matters. With time, they can utilize their wisdom to make things better at home and later guide others in similar situation. But now, as Jupiter is in enemy sign, person can be frustrated with final results in both directions.

So, we can expect better or more satisfactory results if Jupiter is in friendly signs (Aries, Leo and Scorpio), own signs (Sagittarius and Pisces) and exaltation sign (Cancer). But results can be frustrating one if Jupiter is in enemy signs (Taurus, Gemini, Virgo and Libra) or in Saturnine signs (Capricorn and Aquarius).
