Mars – Mars represents our will power, courage, ability to take actions, aggressive nature, anger, our fighting ability, brother, male friends, a boyfriend for a girl, a soldier, an athlete and real estate etc. Basically, Mars represents actions/efforts, and wherever it transits, we start or we should start taking actions in that area of life.


Matru Karaka - It is planet with the 4th highest degree. It is known as Matru Karaka or Significator of Mother. This planet and its position in chart will indicate towards your relation with your Mother. It can also be seen for things like Property and Vehicles as Mother, Property and Vehicles all relate to 4th house. 


Results of Mars as Matru Karaka - As I see, following results can be prominent when Mars becomes someone’s Matru Karaka -


1.Mars is a planet of dominance, control, will power and strength. Hence, professions related with these traits like Soldier, Police Officer, Sports Person, Lawyer or any profession where we are supposed to protect or safeguard others are ideal professions as per Mars. Mars also represents Brothers or Male Friends.


2.So, the common theme around Mars and Matru Karaka is Land or Real Estate. They both represent real estate related things. So, Mars being Matru Karaka can be very good for real estate related matters.


3.As Matru Karaka also represents Mother or relationship with Mother, Mars being Matru Karaka represents either person can be very protective towards Mother or people at home or he can be seen as controlling and dominating person at home. It can be from the other way around too where Mother or people at home can be dominating or controlling towards person.


4.Now, the result of Mars as Matru Karaka largely depends on house position and sign based dignity of Mars. This will decide if person will be protective or controlling.


5.As Mars represents Brothers and Matru Karaka represent Mother, if Mars is in good dignity then it shows that person can have very nurturing relation with Brother. But if Mars is losing the dignity then it may show that Brothers can fight over property matters.

Like, if Mars is ruling Career oriented houses then it shows that person can be making career in matters of real estate, architect, interior designing and sports etc.


8.Then in whichever house/sign Mars sits in chart, that shows in which area or direction of life that Martian activity will be exhibited. As Matru Karaka and Mars both represent Land, Mars position in any house will show that which area of life the native would consider like Land or Property. Like, for a Capricorn ascendant, if Mars is in 3rd house/Pisces then native can be in business related with land, real estate etc. But for Libra ascendant person, if Mars is placed in 9th house/Gemini then person can consider belief system, philosophy and higher education related matters as his property and can be very dominant towards them.
