Sun in Sagittarius.

A thing to remember here is that these posts are strictly meant for the particular planet position. Like, today we are looking at Sun in Sagittarius, so the description given here may change for you if your Sun is although in the sign of Sagittarius but with conjunction with or aspected by other planets.

So, lets see what Sun can do in the sign of Sagittarius. 1st lets see what these 2 things represent -

Sun represents Personality, King, Government, Father, Authority, Career, Top Positions, Ego, Self Esteem, Health, Education etc.

Sagittarius is the 9th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents many things related with the 9th house of horoscope like Religion, Knowledge, Wisdom, Higher Learnings, Gurus, Teachings from your Father etc. Besides it also represents Coaching, Universities, Professors and Preachers, Higher Wisdom, Written Law of the Land etc. Sagittarius has next set of 2 and half nakshatra which are Mula, Purva-Ashadha and Uttara-Ashadha. Sagittarius' lord is Jupiter. 

When Sun comes into Sagittarius, they are like a preacher or teacher. Somehow, they think that they have all the knowledge and wisdom and they can guide others. They are naturally preachy. That's why these people normally end up in becoming professors at Universities where they get this job to guide others. They love to gain knowledge and share that knowledge to guide others. Now, if knowledge is good or bad depends on the position of Jupiter, who is lord of Sagittarius. If Jupiter is well placed, knowledge will be good and thereafter guidance too. If Jupiter is impacted by malefics, then knowledge and wisdom also may be wrong. As Sun represents Ego, their knowledge will give them a sense of ego. Knowledge becomes the basic foundation of their personality. They abide by the laws and their teachings. Not necessary that they will become teachers or professors but wherever they are working, they will be guiding people. 

Again, impact of Sun's effect in Sagittarius will be controlled by the various nakshatra Sun might be in. Like, if Sun is in Moola nakshatra, its lord Ketu's position will effect Sun. If Sun is in Purva-Ashadha nakshatra, then its lord Venus will impact Sun. If Sun is in Uttara-Ashadha nakshatra, then Sun will be more comfortable as Sun itself is lord of Uttara-Ashadha Nakshatra. 

As discussed above, we have to look at position and condition of lord of Sagittarius, i.e. Jupiter, to finally come to know what is going on with this Sun. So, overall reading is much more necessary than a particular planet in sign position.
